With a background in travel cheerleading and gymnastics, I translate this into teaching athletes how to have better body awareness through strength exercises, increase their mobility with specific movements throughout their training, and teach them how to properly fuel their body for performance.
I believe that my purpose as a strength coach is to not only teach clients how to lift properly, but to get clients to realize their deeper “why” for training and overcome that.
I started training myself first on my own at a local commercial gym, then transitioned into Crossfit thinking it would benefit me more aesthetically.
After getting Crossfit certified, coaching at a couple gyms and royally effing up on my own with nutrition, I realized why I really wanted to get into coaching. Athletes deserve to not just be coached by their coach by being told what to do, but to learn from them and become a better athlete as a whole, and that’s what I want for our clients.
Outside of the gym you can find me gorging myself in Bradley’s delectable dishes he whips up, biking or jogging around the lovely downtown Fort Wayne, walking our doggies, or slamming Conjure’s nitro cold brew at Junk Ditch for Sunday brunch!
